I dont like the Mystery of the Zodiac,
And dont like fictional aspect of it. The Open ending. I also think it’s too heavily casted. For such a simple film.
The Killer is also Badly casted. Some Mysterious acts
Of the Zodiac are well made though.
Studying the History of the Zodiac, they left a lot Perplexing, Mysterious, and Very Powerful Story Out!
I like the acts, and the factual aspects( of the
Facts they did) of it.
U should do Summer Of Sam Next!

Thanks for the reminder about Summer of Sam. The scene with the Zodiac wearing a mask at the lake was clearly a copycat. The cabbie at the end couldn't be related. Too random.

Saw this in the theatre, the first half was interesting but became drawn out and boring with the endless montages and the characters turning into obsessed losers. Also hilarious how the movie tries to implicate Leigh Allen when he was exonerated by DNA testing evidence a few years earlier.
Yeah, both Toschi and the Zodiac killer were the inspiration for Dirty Harry and Scorpio. Honestly, that movie was a better zodiac movie.

You know I never noticed the similarities between the Zodisc case and Se7en until you pointed it out.
Everyone was expecting this movie to be like Se7en prerelease and was met with a resounding ‘meh’ as a result.

Agree.
Good! But Not Seven.
I actually Meant,
John Doe is a Zodiac Ripoff.

John Doe was supposed to have been played by Ned Beatty who turned the role down. Can’t help but think he woulda been better.

Ned Beatty had a long history of playing goofy characters. Sorry no. Kevin Spacey was the right choice.

I say he would never live down to the infamy of what happened in Deliverance.

Seven was inspired by Silence of the Lambs.

That's my point about the DNA. How were the envelopes and the letters originally handled? I never got a straight answer about that.
