I think anyone who writes a book and sells it for profit to prove so and so is a kille loses credibility. If they really want to get their info out there and solve the case then do a YouTube video. I'm sure they'll make money from hits I'd the video goes viral but they're not selling anything.
Robert Graysmith I'll give him a pass since although he accuses someone of being Zodiac the point of the book was more about telling the story.

I heard Jack the ripper was recently solved through DNA. Someone used a new method that vacuumed DNA from a cloth or blanket from one of Jack's victims, she was a prostitute so people are saying the DNA could have been from any of her Johns but it matched some barber who spent time in a mental hospital and was seen with most of Jack's victims before they died.

this crime is exactly like jack the ripper. it will never be solved,
Which is strange because that was solved 1-2 years ago and it wasn't even headline news. For all the movies, articles, mini-series over the years nobody seemed to care when the killer was identified. The mystery is what draws people, not the answer.
When I bring up the ripper being identified to people they're just like "What?! When? Who?"etc.

I'd love to see you in the moonlight with your head thrown back and your body on fire.

I don't see anything listed on Wikipedia regarding Jack the Ripper being identified.

far be it from me to argue with a Go rilla, but this is exactly what i'm talking about. it was solved 1-2 years ago? well, if you say so. but i'm pretty sure someone else will "solve" it again, in 10 years or so.
but seriously, i am interested in the latest on the ripper. it's always interesting to read about. so who solved it this time?

Chances are it would get solved but maybe they will get lucky. It took DNA technology to catch up with the Green River Killer.
BTW, DB Cooper died while trying to parachute out of that plane. They found some of the cash in the riverbed.

Wrong, the case is NOT solved. Earl Van Best was NOT the Zodiac. You want to see people in the late 60's who look like the Zodiac composite? I can show you hundreds of photos of guys who looked like the composite. Gary Stewart is full of crap, but I'm sure he is happy since he sold quite a few copies of his book.
Robert Richard Lepsy is a guy I don't know much about, but will look into him as a DB Cooper suspect.

I read the book on him written by his son, and I thought it proved that he WASN'T the Zodiac.
Much like conspiracy theories of every ilk, it seemed he made the facts fit his theory, instead of his theory fitting the facts. And some of the so called proof was kind of ridiculous- like you would have to suspend common sense in order to believe it.
Shame, too, because the guy was an interesting criminal in his own right.

What became glaringly obvious (GLARINGLY OBVIOUS) to me during that boring movie that there were more than one Zodiac killer, perhaps working in tandem, maybe not. Either way, it was not a good movie and the Zodiac killer has got to be the most "overrated" serial killer you Americans have offered.

You're so right! He looks exactly like the Zodiac composite sketch! Definitely has to be him!
