When Andy is preparing for Ian McKellen's play and Ian comes into the dressing room and starts talking about the kiss at the end of the play. Andy explains he has a cold-sore and can't do the kiss so McKellen opens the door and loudly calls for some "Vasoline!" with Andy's mates right outside the door after they were telling him that everyone thought he was bent(gay). I had to pause it so I could compose myself and finish the episode. Seriously, how did I not watch this show sooner. Ricky Gervais is a comedic genius.

That was my favorite as well, as many times as Andy tried to explain the time difference. When darren starts counting on his other hand for counting "down" is just perfect.

I like any time where Darren keeps trying to push the many talents of "Barry off EastEnders" and he's such a terrible agent that he can't really tell the difference between promoting his clients and degrading them. I love the last episode of Season One where Darren is telling Andy that Barry could play the character on Andy's sitcom; he's like "Barry, do dramatic! Now do your comedy! Now do your singing!" Lol, poor Barry
Anything with Darren is hilarious. -

Daniel Radcliffe pulling an unravelled condom out of his pocket and showing it to Andy. And then putting it back in his pocket after retrieving it from Dame Diana Rigg's wig 'Yeah, that'll still be alright.' Any of Daniel Radcliffe's scenes actually. I've never been a massive fan, but he was superb in this. ha hato his mum 'and she was trying to have it off with me'!!

My theory is that he's not just doing comedy. He's acting.

The latter is actually performing the role of a character. One of the things that makes Basil Fawlty funny is that he has absolutely no idea how funny he is. He takes himself seriously. That's because John Cleese is acting.
"Doing comedy", OTOH, is just telling jokes and pulling funny faces, and perhaps wearing funny wigs and using stupid catchphrases like: "Are you havin a laff? Is he havin a laff?" -

I loved any scene with "Barry from Eastenders" and Steve Merchant. They are hilarious together. I particularly loved the scene in the CarPhone store when they sold the girl a phone and they were dancing to the tones of the phone. So funny.
