Check out his film "Cube". One of my all-time favorites, not for everybody but unique, intelligent and gripping as hell. His second film, Cypher, featured fantastic direction and a stunning look, but simply can't be compared with cube. I've still yet to see his third film, Nothing, but from what I hear it's quite good.

I hadn't heard of the book before I heard Natali was planning on adapting (sp?) it to the screen either, but upon doing a little searching I found out it's about a massive, complex apartment building that houses over a thousand, where everyone becomes paranoid and go crazy (vague, I know, but I read the plot description quite a while ago and don't remember details). Sounds like a film right up his alley if you ask me!
By the way, I'm the one who added the film to IMDB, and as of now Natali has NOT been confirmed directoronly writer. Someone else added him as director, and currently there's no proof of this.
By the way, it's good to hear you enjoyed Nothing. I can't wait to see it, but as an American I'll probably have to wait about five freakin' years for it to be released hereSorry, just venting my hate for US distributorsGrrr

actuallyt it was never released in england its just that im a massive natali fan and dvd collector in general. i picked it up very cheaply from dvd boxoffice.com. howver i believe they have since closed down but i think you can also pick up a copy from dvdsoo.com
i doubt it will ever reach the cinema.
how did you find out the info and post it on imdb?
i hope he directs it will be fantastic

actually here in the US you can just run down to blockbuster and grab it.. its a rather unique and original movie. i enjoyed it a lot and it stars two of the main characters from Cube.

I just found out, and I'm shocked.
I'd never expect to know the story, let alone see the movie.

Um, it appears it HAS been moved forward to the future, and the tower block is not in an urban environment as written, but is isolated on an island, like something we might see in a future Dubai. I have reservations about the slight changes but I think the overall mood of the book will prevail. I just really hope they use models and miniatures (as if they will) rather than CGI. I don't know why exactly, but it just sort of feels more Ballardian to me.

Wow, it would take 10 years after this post to come out.

And after those 10 years the end result would be poor, a shame really.
