I was going to say the same as thereddishcolor, LadyVengenace. An amazing Korean film that's apart of a trilogy but each movie can stand on their own. If you don't mind subtitles then I suggest watching it, it's a fantastic movie.

I can't resist mentioning the 1944 serial, ZORRO'S BLACK WHIP which in 12 weekly chapters had Linda Stirling avenging her slain brother.
Life, every now and then, behaves as though it had seen too many bad movies

Dolores Claiborne, which is a far better and more realistic movie than the horror mystery it was promoted as.

I cannot believe NO ONE has mentioned LADY SNOWBLOOD and/or SEX & FURY yet. Those are the two films that Quentin Stole the idea from to make Kill Bill.
                                Others:
                                Sympathy for Lady Vengeance

                                Confessions (2010)

QT didn't "steal" any ideas. Kill Bill was a tribute film to a whole bunch of films including previously made revenge thrillers as well as old school Japanese television shows. It's like claiming that Scream ripped off the OG slasher movies.

Sudden Death of the 80s is another rape-revenge flick.
Personally, this movie has little comparison with any of the mentioned movies though. The Brave One is about 10 times deeper, better written and acted than any of those. Most of those movies are simple exploitation films.
