The end scene was completley unbelievable, Erica shoots gangbanger number three in the head, whilst he's on the floor thus bullet trajectory will show the killer fired whilst standing over the victim, meaning that Mercer could not have been winged and fired in self defense as his victim would have been standing.
any basic CSI would spot that from the blood spatter, not to mention Mercer bleeding gravitational blood drops all over the gangbanger whilst he's planting the gun and the fact that he forgot to pick up the shell casing that would have been right next the GB's body..
Other than that and the fact that stoner guys testimony that there was a woman on the train would be completley contradictory to Mercers gangbanger fallout theory i actually liked this film
the acting was solid, the dialogue between characters felt real and the plot was realistic.
i wish there had been slightly more reflection and build up to jodie fosters character change, maybe show her practising with the weapon, reloading, aiming etc
but other than that i think the films a solid 8/10, a refreshing change from ultra violent vigilante males

I agree, especially the last part about building up Erica's change and her using the gun. They went through that too quickly. I mean, using a gun for the first thing is such a big thing and such a life-changing experience.
