Undoubtedly, this movie is as great as most are saying. What struck me is how unique, deep yet fun the entire experience

Average score for Ant-Man on Rotten Tomatoes is 6.8. That is definitely an indication that it wasn't loved by critics. The Dark Knight has average score of 8.6. That is an indicator that 90+ of critics thought the movie was great. Those 6.8 numbers for Ant-Man mean that the critics thought it was OK/good, not great or amazing.

Critics hate DC and love Marvel just like every other sane film fan in the world.
