I found that scene to both troubling yet fascinating at the same time, as paradoxically as that may sound. It was quite an imaginative portrayal of such a realm. Indeed an interesting concept and depiction thereof.

Aesthetically yes. But I just hated it for the some reason i hated most of the movie. I really enjoy science and i love when movies try to give scientific explainations to crazy stuff. In this movie they say that it brings atoms closer together.
yet we see him shrink SMALLER THAN ATOMS
yet he doesnt turn into a black hole
yet he doesnt act like a bullet when landing or hitting people
I know its just a movie but im just saying for me personally -

Thats why i said me personally.
And ALSO my point was that they tried to explain it and gave a contradictory explanation. Theyve never tried to explain or ground any of the other heroes except for MAYBE the hulk because they kind of exposure would kill you.
I wasnt saying it was ridiculous. Its a movie about a super hero. Its suppose to be fantastic.

Here's my take:
The only person that (truly) understands any of it is Hank Pym. And he's clearly not going to tell anyone the truth about it because he doesn't want anyone replicating his work.
Also, in the comics, Pym particles move matter from one dimension to another which would account for the cases where Ant-Man is sometimes light, sometimes heavy.
Lastly, quantum mechanics isn't exactly new. So something being smaller than an atom isn't without at least a shred of scientific basis. But yeah the fact that he doesn't die and i able to come back etc. is clearly well beyond any theories that exist today.
Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late) -

Fair point. I was also bugged by how the first time he shrank, he went through the floor (okay, cool) but then hit the record player and didn't break it or even stop it from playing! And he's still 180 pounds (or whatever) but can ride a flying ant?
