I agree. Stallone once said he made V out of greed, and on a scale of 1-10 he actually gave it a zero. Yet, despite some serious inconsistencies, at least the film starred his real-life son (who passed in 2012, wonder how he felt about his dad's comments on the film), and seemed to wrap up the character and his family better than "RB" which tried WAY too hard to push the nostalgia factor, the "Little Marie" character, flashback scenes that didn't fit with the realistic feel and really cheesy and forced dialogue. The only cool part I thought was Spider Rico accompanying him at the Dixon fight.

Rocky Balboa was an outstanding movie. I am totally glad it was made. This been said, I absolutely love Rocky V and don't share the hate most people have about this movie. It came back to the basic of Rocky, which was drama before action, something Rocky 3 and 4 almost totally forgot.

I agree with all of your comments.
I liked this film and liked V. I thought 3 and 4 were just over the top cheese.
My two favorite Rocky films though are 1 (of course) and 2. The drama was key. I thought this film (and Creed) returned to those roots.
Conquer your fear, and I promise you, you will conquer death.

Part V's ending had some emotion to it (Rocky giving his son the cufflink & a moment at the top of the stairs) & even a little cheer ("I generally like everybody"such a Rocky thing to say)followed by a B&W montage of the entire Rocky Saga over "Measure of a Man" by Sir Elton John (beautiful song).
Rocky fading away the way he did in 6.didn't have the same impact. LOVED the "getting rid of the Beast" thingdidn't care for bringing Marie back as a wannabe Romantic interest (& her son even less)gimme V over VI anytime!

Im gonna punch you in the cooter, I swear to God!
