I just marathoned all of the Rocky movies and…

Absolutely. I can't ignore the others in the saga (too many childhood memories there, you understand) but as an adult, the three I watch most frequently are those you mentioned. I love that RB and Creed were such quality movies.

In my opinion, Creed is the worst of the lot. It is nothing more than a rehash of the original Rocky. Apart from Stallone the acting by everyone is average. And it's predictable as hell! I don't even count it as part of the Rocky series.

Absolutely. Rocky IV was all muscle and no heart. And no Rocky music. When you amputate the heart and the theme, all that's left are workout scenes and punching action. To me, that's not what the Rocky movies are all about.

Rocky Balboa was definitely the second best of the bunch.but for the original sequels i gotta go with Rocky III. Its a little bit of a different take on an already familiar franchise and i like the idea of getting knocked off the mountain top and having to climb back upfits in line with the theme of the enitre series.
Rocky V is the worst though and Creed is simply a much better version of that movie

My opinion on Creed might change as years go by. At the time Rocky V came out, I felt that was the second-best of the series. It didn't age as well as some of the others, though, and soon dropped in my estimation. What I loved most about Creed was the close relationship between Adonis and Rocky. I wasn't expecting that. I was expecting something a lot less emotional. That's probably what I loved most about it.

I just rewatched Rocky Balboa again over the weekend with a much different perspective than when I first saw it. My wife passed away three months ago so Rocky's despair over the death of Adrian really hit home with me as i was watching it again. I really can empathize with the beast in the basement feeling.

I just watched Rocky Balboa (having watched Creed last night) and I have to say that this was the best of the bunch. It was a movie with all heart with Sly acting his heart out. Great stuff!

Rocky 1 and Rocky 2 feels like 1 movie to me Especially if you watch them back to back.
Anyways Rocky Balboa is liked by a lot of people because it dwelled with Rocky the person and his life rather than Rocky the boxer, its good. Creed is very good too, sire its similar to Rock 1 but that was the plot Conlan's manager wanted to give Adonis a shot just like Apollo gave Rocky a shot.
Rocky Balboa, Rocky and Creed presented very down to earth characters that are coping with the reality of life outside boxing the most hence they also are the most relatable IMO. -

Rocky, Rocky 2 & Rocky Balboa are the best of the lot. The first Rocky being one of my favorite films of all time. Rocky 2 is actually underrated. It still has some of the grit of the original but with some more comedy thrown in. Balboa is like an update to the original.. a tribute to the characters and settings. Some good dialogue as well.
Creed had some good scenes but it didn't have that Rocky feel to it, at least not for me. Stallone's take on the older, worn out Rocky was obviously the best part of the film. Worth watching.
