I thought the film was fine with no Adrian. Nothing against her or the valuable element she added to the previous movies. I assume Stallone wanted to avoid the whole "Rocky, please don't fight" element to the story line.

Stallone said numerous early drafts of Rocky Balboa had Adrian alive and well. But as he went along he thought to himself that this seemed all to familiar. I'm sure it had scenes with Adrian pleading with Rocky not to fight again. I remember at the time Rocky Balboa came out, Stallone said one of the toughest things he ever had to do was call Talia Shire and tell her that Adrian wouldn't be back. But he said that she supported the decision after he gave his reasons why.

She should "have" appeared in this film, is what you meant to say. Educate yourself on the English language.
Should've is a contraction of should have. So the title is grammatically correct. Maybe you need to educate yourself on the English language.

Adrian's death was crucial to the storyline. If you think the movie could have worked as well with her still alive, you likely missed a great deal of the point of the movie. With her alive, Rocky would have had no motivation to fight again. At all.

Nailed it. With Adrian gone, that explains why Rocky seems so bummed out and lonely. He's lost Mickey, he's lost Apollo, he's lost Adrian and his son is distant. That's why he pursues a friendship with Marie and one last hurrah in the ring to purge his demons and feel alive again. -

I';m glad she was dead..for me one of the problems with Rocky V was the character of Adrian.she kept getting in the way and whined all the timeshe just gave up and accepted the circumstancesshe never even encouraged Rocky to get a second opinion
