Do you consider yourself English or British?

Mother's Irish, father's Scottish, I was born and brought up in England.
I would call myself:
A Sandancer, if I was speaking to someone on Tyneside.
A Geordie, if I was somewhere else in the UK.
I would say I was English if I was abroad.
But my nationality is British. -

Born in London in 1975. Raised through the 80's and grew up with everything that shaped that time. Into the 90's and was part of the rave scene that took over the country. Been into my footy all my life and know my English football from Stanley Matthews to David Beckham. I was born in England and this is the country I lovebut because I am black and we are not allowed to be classed as English.
Sucks really as I am probably more English than many people here, but skin colour plays a huge part. -

I see myself as English and I always have. I live in England, therefore I am English. I have a couple of friends who are Scottish and they hate it when I call them British. They tell me they're Scottish. So fair enough.
However, I do hate it when some people, not everyone, but a select few, refer to the English as 'Scottish, Irish, Welsh and British. Umtry again.
'What I calls, enterprise. Popping pussies into pies!'
