no way too over done. the whole bad guy gets away with it, effs over the good guys and moves on to his next victims with that look/grin at the end. its actually more refreshing to see the villains die in my opinion. depending on the film. the ending could have been less rushed but eff that noise, he needed to die. he was a sick serial killer. plus i love kales character as well as ronnie and was rooting for the dude who was badass enough to punch out his douche spanish teacher for making an obscene comment in class publicly about his dead father. then had the balls to go after a killer he knew was living across from him. theres no way if he got blamed for everything most of the audience would be for that. he was too likable. he wasnt one of those stupid obnoxious victims in most thrillers/horrors.
also, i met david morse in person when i was out to dinner once. i asked to take a picture with him. he was waiting for his car. was alone. i stared at him for like 10 secs trying to figure out if i knew him. this was last summer so he looked older but still like him. then i realized it was him. he was SUCH AN A-HOLE. he acted like it was such an imposition to take one picture with me when i said i was a fan and my mom said she was a huuuuuuuuge fan. he was rude to both of us. i got a horrible taste in my mouth after meeting him. his personality in real life was similar to his personality in this movie. he was staring back at me too though so wtf?? then acted annoyed i spoke to him. so i am not a big fan of his anymore. -

look..
Turner's character was sly and likeable..
but the ending you proposed its twisted, almost evil like and its very worrisome it will not please the general public, it'll only please the psychopaths out there and the twisted. -

I think it's fairly clear that Turner WAS an idiot. Instead of playing mind games with teenagers he should of been taking care of business; he ultimately did himself in.
Yes. Like driving such a stand out car when out killing!
I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!! -

I'm pretty sure Kale was the smartest character. Robert Turner was an idiot. Why manipulate everyone when you can just kill them in their sleep and move away He spent too much time fooling around and playing games.

that's a beep ending, The better ending is that Kale goes to the house and finds that his mother is dead because Turner slit her throat, Ronnie is waiting for him there with a knife and tells him to run in the room since he knows that Turner killed his grandparents, Turner arrives there and him and Ronnie fight each other, Gueterriz finally believes that Turner is a bad guy when he sees a criminal record on his paperwork, Turner almost ends up killing Ronnie, but Ronnie gains the upper hand and accidentally stabs Turner in the leg, wounding him badly but not killing him, Turner falls down the steps of the stairs, Turner tells the cops that Kale stabbed him but Ronnie tells the cops different, Guetierrez arrives and sees the dead body of his cousin (the one Kale punched in the face) As an act of revenge, Guetierrez tries to shoot Turner but instead Turner stabs the two cops in the chest real fast and then slowly stabs Guetierrez in his chest directly through his heart, Turner goes to run after Ronnie, but Sarah arrive and a small steak knife in to Turner's back, Turner turns around and grabs Guetierrez's gun and attempts to shoot Ashley, but Ronnie shoots Turner dead, the film ends with Ronnie, Kale and Ashley exiting the house safe.

Personally, don't screw with it and alter it, the movie was what it was, and it wasn't too bad. Although, having the cop being knocked out and kept prisoner or something might have been a bit more interesting and have wrapped things up better.

Much better ending. I would have liked it. As it is the movie is way to predictable. We know Kale and Ashley will get together somehow. We know a killer is living next door and the ending will be a huge fight where everything is revealed and the killer goes amok instead of hiding things. We know Kale will get out of trouble and have a new girlfriend. We know the murder will lose by dying or being imprisoned. We know the police will admit fault (which they actually didn't do as much as I had predicted).
We know all this stuff. So the movie was very boring for someone who has seen a lot of movies before. -
