    It'd be my wish to see a non-white cast do this film. Perhaps with two black leads. Or Black and Asian leads. I wonder if Hollywood is daring enough. I'm just wondering.

      As much as I hate american remakes of movies, I honestly believe this would translate well.
      Hollywood, daring? No. But an independent company or a smaller and risk-taking one (Lionsgate) would possibly finance it (I'd wager 5mil or less), and a large company would redistribute. The Big Three aren't too big on not having a hand in any potential pie.
