Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK

There are some things about her style that I don't understand. Why are her eyebrows painted white while she is in hospital? Is that supposed to make her more pale and "robot-like"? And why does her hair look like a wig while she is inside, giving her the look of someone with a huge head? In the scenes from her youth, it looks normal.
OK, these questions are not essential to this movie, but if someone has any opinion on this, I'd be glad to hear it.

I think you are right. When I see her hair she really looks like some kind of Cyborg and I am sure that is the meaning of the strange haircut and eyebrows

Because she stopped caring for her looks?
And when she got electrocuted, that probably changed the color of her eyebrows.

I thought it was a nice touch. It worked well with the surealism.
