England embraced multiculturalism and rampant liberalism before establishing a plan to deal with the problems that marriage would cause.
We are now a nation split down endless battle lines, divided by gender, sexuality, and age, whether we're liberal or authoritarian, communist or capitalist, Muslim or Jew, black or white, rich or poor. We've built hell holes so heavily politicised and legislated that everyone feels threatened by everyone who isn't exactly like them, because any minute now a legislative body could transform the country into something entirely different to what it was the day before.
Just like every other western nation, our people no longer have shared dreams and values. We're just a geographical boundary lacking an identity and culture, where a myriad of tribes are only ever one crisis away from all out civil war.

How does a narrative like this even get established? America was built by rebels, pioneers, and entrepreneurs, all of whom had, at some point, travelled thousands of miles into the unknown with nothing but a suitcase of clothes and their wits.
That's why America is so awesome. It was built by a proportion of the global gene pool brave enough to take risks and make huge sacrifices.

I think it's instilled from them from an early age to love their country so they would hear the national anthem and salut the flag at school, stand with their hands on their hearts for the national anthem, etc, whereas other countries don't really care enough about all that. Maybe it's to do with the age of America compared to old European cultures.
