i like the idea of Brad Pitt in the role, i think he could have played it nicely, but i didnt think crowe was bad, but maybe as you say there could have been a few better choices..i dont agree with collin farrel though.

I can never understand what Crowe is saying, he mumbles, has a monotone voice. Jason Statham is the same. Dunno how these guys get roles.

Well Ridley and Russel have obviously great working and and friendly relationship. Russel is a little chameleonwith huge on screen presence
So why cast someone else when he can cast his friend who can pull it off:D
working with people you know and respect gets the work done quickly, precisely and easily
