Would anyone have been okay if Dexter and Debra ended up together

I never liked that storyline. I always felt like that was a case of the writers having some fun at the expense of two actors who were married IRL (at the time). I know the Debra character was always searching for a replacement for her father, but that was over the top for me.

Nooo!!! I really hated the storyline I even hated it more when Debra told dexter that she's in love with him. That was total mistake I'm glad that they didn't take the storyline any further. However, I really adored the relationship between Debra and dexter as siblings specially when Debra found out about dexter

The idea creeped me out right away. We are raised to treat half and step siblings as "blood", adopted the same. I wish it had never left her therapy session. Glad it did not go further, Dexter shut that right down.
But he did not have great taste is women. Obviously, Rita was the best of the bunch but she became quite the nag once married, a d I say that as a woman. She really did not seem to get that he earned all of the money. Sure, he was gone a lot, but in reality, he would probably have to work all hours to swing their lifestyle. -
