Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Jack Reacher

    eonaxes — 9 years ago(August 28, 2016 07:46 AM)

to Sandy he said something like: oh you might wanna leave town for a few days
sounds cool but he didn't let on to the potential danger she was in which caused her to not take him seriously.
Instead he could have been like: "there are some very powerful people that you are involved with and there is a decent chance they may want you dead disappear NOW to a place nobody would think to find you"
same goes to the lawyer chick with his: "oh btw yeah i forgot to mention either your dad or the investigator are dirty and your life might be at risk"

He's not going to get into a back and forth about what's going on, which your dialog would likely end up in. Besides, we need Sandy to die so that Reacher can be filled with enough rage to want to kill the antagonists.
Nobody said Reacher is perfect. He's like Jack Bauer in a sense. People that come into contact with him have a bad habit of dying.
