        State fair?
Considering this three year old topic of conversation, I grew up at home in the sixties. ✌️

No. My parents wouldn't let me go. I was too young… 14.

The early 60s, Dick Van Dyke era and atmosphere of the show was what made it unique. It was a shame they skipped over 1961 because Matthew Weiner was so eager to jump to the middle of the decade. The hippie stuff we have all seen before in previous shows. I kinda wish the show had just concentrated on the years from 1958-1964 or somewhere along those lines.

Weiner said not much had happened in 1961.

The election was more interesting than the swearing in. Yes, I know Kennedy’s words were inspirational but the characters already reacted to Kennedy.
The 1962 season covers the civil rights movement.

I never got the hyp about this show. It did nothing for me, but I have kind of weird tastes in TV shows.
