Sorry friends, but I fear that this is a cover up for limitation of free speech. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I don't want Big Brother deciding who can post on message boards and social sites.
Free speech protects you from persecution from the government. It has nothing to do with what Twitter, Facebook or IMDb do with their social media platforms and forums. -

I don't buy IMBd's stated reason for killing the forums, and it's leaving a bad taste in my mouth about both IMDb and Amazon, which will remain. But I also don't think this has anything to do with the government. It's about corporate greed, nothing more, nothing less.

I can see where you're coming from. With others, and seemingly you, I don't necessarily think it's the government, as they likely have bigger fish to fry. But it does seem like various "freedom of speech" things are becoming a bit more limited. Of course, if it is the government, they'd be wanting and able to make it look like it wasn't.

just look up movies these days, tonight went to the site of an actor and the thread titles were all so vile I didnt dare open any of them, thought what the HECK is going on here?! and only after that saw the were shutting down message.
shame but not having looked at much in a while the downward trend is very obvious. too bad, it was an easy source of information, to be taken with a grain of salt, but still interesting to see other opinions, when they werent hateful.
