I actually thought that, considering what REAL young women who were in shock might do, this film was fairly accurate. When women and children are removed from society and placed into sex trafficking, the first main step, taking their identification, is a huge psychological stunner. Most recovered sex trafficking victims state that they felt they were in a dream when they were taken.
I would stomp a man who tried this now, but when I was as young as these women were, I would have frozen, and I do not think I should be ashamed of that.
Of course, it's easy for any of us, including you, to sit here on our computers and say "I'd have done this" or "I'd have done that." Worthless talk, really. We are sitting in our homes or coffee houses spouting crap.

It's not real, it's a movie, that should attract viewers who might want the script work differently than making all the victims imbeciles.
So clearly, they have no idea of what self-defense means in situation like that.

You should be (moderately) shamed of it. It may be understandable that we do certain things we are not proud of, but it doesn't mean that these understandable things become without shame.
