There's A Chance Time Warner Might Bid To Air The Emmys Next Year

I just read that a deal that let all the networks rotate airing the Emmys for the last eight years ended with last night's broadcast. As such, the rights to air the award show are up for auction again, and Time Warner (which owns TNT and TBS) is looking at placing a bid.
So, if they
do
win the rights to air the Emmys on one of their cable channels, do you think they'd give the hosting gig to Conan?
Cause I loved both times he hosted before (especially 2006; he did phenomenally in 2006) and was really worried when he lost The Tonight Show that that'd be the end of his chances to host again (had TTS lasted until now, I can almost guarantee he'd have hosted last night instead of Fallon, but such is life).
But, yeah, do you think they'd pretty much automatically have him host? I mean, it seems like the most likely scenario to me

Jon Stewart hosted the OSCARS. I don't believe he's ever hosted the Emmys, mostly because the Networks tend to get stars from their own shows to host.
Hence Jimmy Fallon this year (NBC), Neil Patrick Harris last year (CBS), the reality show disaster of 2008 (many of them were from ABC shows, like Tom Bergeron), Ryan Seacrest in 2007 (FOX), and Conan back in 2006 (NBC again).

The reason they didn't get it was because nobody wanted the Emmys to be on a commercial-free pay-cable channel that less than a third of all American households get.
But more than half of all Americans get TBS and TNT, and that majority gets higher and higher every year, so it's becoming more and more plausible that things like the Emmys, and the Oscars could easily move over to commercial-supported cable.
