Shame. I don't really follow the Emmys that much but it seems as much of favoritism as the Oscars. If they grant best drama to Lost I'm officially calling it a joke. If Mad Men gets it again, I can't say it's undeserved but it's not that original either. The other nominations except Lost deserve it also and there's no need for Mad Men to win it again.

my opinion is just like f_days, although I used to get really tired of seeing Jon stewart. I like him more now. Fox news always says that he spews out a bunch of liberal mumbo jumbo and then hides behind his comedian roots. I think thats true, and Jon stewart can deny it if he wants.
Anyways, check out these awesome Daily show clips:

I didn't watch but it's insane that Daily Show won again. The show is funny, Jon Stewart is funny and I've been a fan since his MTV days, but the Emmy's are as biased and predictable as the Oscars when it comes to recognition.
Fox News opinion of Stewart is predictable, but one criticism of him I do think is warranted is the "clown nose on, clown nose off" tactic he uses. I heard some conservative commentator say that about Stewart and I basically agree with it, which is that when he has a great point to make he becomes very self righteous, but if you out debate him, suddenly Stewart just makes a sarcastic quip and tries to joke his way out of the whole thing.
it's a not huge deal but something I prefer more about Colbert, which is he focuses more on the absurdity all the time and doesn't try to become too self righteous.
as for the shows though I just don't see how Daily Show keeps winning this. It's basically had the same formula for over a decade now. Least Conan was trying new stuff on Tonight Show, though probably not as successfully as I'd hoped.

From what I've seen (which honestly isn't THAT much), both Stewart and Colbert are fairly funny. But all these awards and praise both and especially Stewart are raking up makes them vastly overrated. Their focus is mainly just on one subject and their concept is just a mockery of a news program.
