I have no problem with people saying that they don't like a movie. No movie will ever be liked by everyone, and sites such as this should welcome negative comments just as much as it should welcome positive ones. I do however dislike it when people feel it necessary to over-emphasise their opinion by making comments such as "one of the best films ever made" or "one of the worst films ever made". That is just lazy criticism, and is symptomatic of an individual who has to labour the point they wish to make because they lack a confidence in their own ability to actually critique a movie in respect to their own reception of said movie. Be it positive or negative.
And such people deserve to be criticised for that. In short, whenever anyone has to rely on hyperbole when expressing their opinion, then their opinion isn't worth jack.

It's funny how often you see this exact thread title, or some slight variant on it, on the board for pretty much every single movie ever, ranging from Citizen Kane to Birdemic and everywhere in between.
All the movies are the worst, apparently.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you are so full of $#^$&%#$. I'd love to see you post about Gone With The Wind. You'd probably tear it to bits.

Give the guy a break, think about it, even though his daughter is taken
and he is doing everything it takes to get her back - he still gave
every bad guy a chance. Especially the fat Arab at the end. He could
have just handed her back, instead of, "We can ne", bang! I'm guessing
the unfinished word would have been, 'negotiate'.
I don't know what is wrong with the world

but I know how to fix it.

Every time someone knocks on an action movie and compares it Jason Bourne, I want to slap them.
Jason Bourne was not the first movie of it's kind to feature a tough as nails super agent hero. Matt Damon is also one of the most unbelievable and unlikable guy to be an action star.
I have a better time watching the guy who trains Bruce Wayne into Batman play a badass former secret agent kicking ass than to watch a slightly retarded janitor from Good Will Hunting try to think he's 007+Bruce Lee.

A stupid, horribly written review. Even going so far as to say one of the worst films ever made! Talk about stealing material.
Sorry linda303, you're tooo vapid. A movie critic you cannot be. You cannot do a simple opinion piece without your stupidity creeping in.
You sound like a clueless idiot playing movie critic, badly.
I cringe every time I read a word you've written.
How could you attach your name to this site, you idiot?

                      Most people can't do that.

The only thing about Taken & the Bourne series that seems similar is that they both worked for the CIA, and they're both action films. If you want to compare it to something, try the first 12 episodes of 24. And both of those were good. Loved this movie, loved the action, and loved the Liam Neeson took no prisoners when it came to getting his daughter back. As for the girl who said that the daughter should have fought off her attackers instead of hiding under the bed? There was no way that she could have fought them off, and she listened to her father in hiding under there. She knew he would make sure to get her back. It seems that when he makes a promise, he keeps it.
"Oh my God! You put a living room where the crack den used to be!"

This movie is better then the Bourne movies simply because Paul Greengrass didn't direct them to have a seizure while holding the camera so we couldn't see what was going on. The Bourne movies suck simply for that fact.

Respectfully disagree. This film is an action masterpiece (saw it 7 times in the theater myself, I'm proud to say).
