Universe will end in a Big Crunch
The universe originated 13.8 billion years ago with the Big Bang – and in another 20 billion years, it will end in a
"Big Crunch"
. This is the conclusion of a research team led by Henry Tye of Cornell University.
A new study published by the team in the
Journal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics
shows that the universe will continue to expand for another 11 billion years before it reverses and begins to contract.
