I'm not talking about a standard dothraki. Drogo is a killing machine and could dodge just about any slower moving armor wearing attack. Also, I think a big part about Jaime in the books in his reputation vs. reality. We always hear how amazing he is, but since the book is done in a POV format it could just be in their heads. He comes from a rich and powerful family, so people have an exaggerated idea of how good Jaime really is. Jaime is great but not excellent.

I would argue that the same thing that happened to Jorah vs the bloodrider would be similar to what would've happened in a Jaime vs Khal Drogo. His quickness counts for nothing if his weapon can't pierce armor. Not to mention Jaime is also fast.

Let's see: He wins a tournament at 13.
At the age of 16, when he was a squire he crosses swords with the Smiling Knight, a guy with the reputation of the Mountain, and lives to tell the tale unlike many other famous knights that were killed by him. The Smiling Knight is killed by Arthur Dayne
Gets knighted on the battlefield by Arthur Dayne himself.
He becomes the youngest person to join the Kingsguard in a time that Kingsguard included some of the best fighters like Gerold Hightower, Arthur Dayne and Barristan Selmy.
When seeing that he's about to loose a battle, he rallies his bannerman and carves a path in an attempt to kill Robb Stark. He kills about ten men single handed and would've killed Robb if his sword didn't get stuck in a body.
Fights Brienne to an almost standstill in the books with his chained hands, without practice and weakened by a year of imprisionment. Brienne later admits that she would've lost if Jaime was at full strenght.
He gets praised as a swordfighter by Barristan Selmy who actually served with him.
And finally there are the words of the author himself. He thinks he could've beaten Aragorn. Jaime was written as prodigious sword fighter . He is among the best of the best.

I should have said excellent not perfect. That's on me. Jaime wins tournaments and does a lot of great things, but people like Bronn would still have a chance. Is Bronn better than Jaime? No, but his fighting style is perfect for TBC.
I think Drogo would have immediately have dodge once his blade didn't work against the armor. Then he would have focked the person up by bringing them to the ground. All speculation of course, but I wouldn't worry if Drogo was against a knight in my TBC. -

I don't think Bronn is better than Jaime but I think Bronn would have a chance. Bronn says something similar regarding the Mountain. He thinks he could have a chance but one slip and it's over. Barristan says sometimes what you ate in the morning, a rock in the ground might be the diference between winning and losing a duel. That even the best knights might make a mistake against a weaker one.

Jaime is great but not excellent.
GRRM said Jaime is, fully functioning, one of the great swordsmen in the history of Westeros. If you are one of the greats in the history of an entire continent doesn't that push you up to excellent?

Oberyn was sick don't get me wrong, but try reading the books during the war of the five kings no one could stand before Jaime and win! One on one of course. Honestly at Jamie's peak the only warrior who could have beat him was Sir Arthur Dane. There was only three swordsman alive at that time that Jaime would say ever had a chance, Sir Barristan even as an old man, Sir Garlan or Great John Umber.

GRRM is the one who made Bri so nimble, so fast, so massive, so strong. Girlfriend can move a cow-sized boulder, is faster than can be believed, and her stamina is considered a gift from the gods. All things stated in the books. Don't get jelly boys. -

It looks to me like there's a distinct shortage of twelve year-old boys here to bully about this. Perhaps the wrestling forums would provide more fruitful hunting grounds?

Heh, you know what I realized long ago? Fight scenes in theater are just choreographed dancing. That's why they bore me so, almost always I know who's gonna win, and two big lugs stumbling back and forth exchanging stage blows is just
dull.
This however, isn't boring:
That's actually beautiful to watch, she's graceful, and rather pretty, even in that ugly-ass dress. So I willingly suspend my disbelief to let the pretty ones do more dancing and while she may not be as fetching as Summer Glau, Gwendoline Christy is a sure sight more graceful than the likes of Rory McCann or Iain Glen.
