It's a fictional medical realm, which centres on 9 "noble" families who fight to take control of the Iron Thron to rule all of the land. We focus on the characters from those houses, how far they will go to get power, and how damaging the families can be to one another. Meanwhile, a dark prescence is soon to be awaken, as the "White Walkers" look to overtake the kingdom a group of "zombies", if you will. The show takes a look at in-depth characters and governments, both entertaining and gruesome. Yes there is nudity and violence and dragons.
It's really quite good.
