I thought the first two seasons were OK, the second being better than the first but what the hell happened to that show? It's ridiculous and all but unwatchable now. Do we REALLY need another show with a character hallucinating an entire season to find out it wasn't real? And Noah's older son and daughter have become even more cartoonly obnoxious than before, which I didn't think possible.

You beat me to this thread.
A major shark jumping. The Vicodin addicted Noah being stalked by the prison guard plot is ludicrous. Even more ridiculous is the bloated Brendan Fraser in the role.
As of today, I have read
      31
      pages of Game of Thrones

Agreed, Brendan Fraser is too goofy to be menacing, terrible casting. Everything is so incoherent now, and not just because Noah's addicted to pain killers and is hallucinating, the other characters are all over the place, too. It's like they took the job of writing for the show away from seasoned veterans and gave it to a bunch of high school fanfic authors.

I've never watched it, but the people at Showtime are nuts for renewing The Affair for a fourth season instead of Penny Dreadful.
          Reported for doody.
