When I was younger I wanted to write a fantasy story featuring 3 brothers as supporting characters:
The oldest was a great warrior and rebel who eventually died hunting
The Middle betrayed his family and killed his younger brother
The youngest was gay and his name was Fenly
And then I read this book and said "Oops!" -

It sounds kind of like fairy but not in a derogatory way. I think you should still write it. GRRM is "inspired" by lots of writers and it's not like the Baratheon stuff was ever a focus. (I understand you weren't inspired by GRRM but as to what people would think who cares? Because he takes stuff from everyone. Half of the warg and bastard stuff reads like a Robin Hobb rip off.)
Most people thought I was a hero for killing Lydia's parrot. -

Thanks for your encouragement and support, Chertuth, but honestly all that really existed was the characters' names. The story constantly changed since it was from the mind of an 8-year-old who saw LOTR 6 months before.
I'm still writing though, actually trying to work on a TV comedy.
