Do not be insulting. She is the queen, the overlioness.
Long may she reign

I'm not trying to be insulting, I'm trying to see if you have any reason to believe Cersei will make it outside wishful thinking.

There's a prophecy that says she won't make it, and that a younger and prettier queen will rise to take her place.
However, the prophecy doesn't specify whether it happens during the 7th season or the 8th.

So you didn't understand the role of prophecies in this story, did you?

Sigh,
I don't hate Cersei. I feel pity for her in some level. I recognize that she is compliated more than pure evil. However, you can't whitewash her sin after all. What she did is far over than self-defense. I would still sort this character as a villain.
Sorry, my lady. -

She made a mistake when she gave power to the High Sparrow but blowing the Sept was the only way she had of saving herself. She couldn't trap them anywhere, couldn't have them assassinated, could no longer wait for a better moment when fewer innocent people would die. Her trial was on and there was nothing she could do. She waited until the last moment, asked the Tyrells for help.
It was self-defense.

Excuse me. Are we talking about the same person, Cersei Lannister?
The woman who show no mercy to civilians, adulterate with her brother, cheat his husbond by sleeping with both her bother and cousin, spoil and overprotect her children, tried killing her younger brother by misunderstanding?
Givig sparrow power is not just a mistake, but also her sin of stupidity. If Cersei was not a highborn, but only a civilian woman, stupid, cruel, disloyal, emotional, no foresight are all OK. But she is not! She is a queen then act like a queen!!!
All she did so far is absolutely "not" what a queen should do!
All I see is a wayward woman who is just lucky enough sitting in the position, "Queen". Lucky for her, unlucky for the others. -

Lucky for her, unlucky for the others.
We're talking about the woman who gave Robert heirs to stabilise his reign and ensure a peaceful succession. She's way better than the well-meaning fool who brought Meereen to the brink of starvation.

Robert's heirs? Ho! Ho!
ensure a peaceful succession
I thought it was Tywin's work. I never realized what successful queen Cersei is. Hail to Cersei! Ho! Ho!
brought Meereen to the brink of starvation
I musted miss this part. All I could remember is Cersei's "Keep civilian outside the wall(of Kingsland) when winter come", and "Feed extra food to dogs but not poor people". What a queen!!! -

Joffrey was Robert's undisputed heir, accepted by anyone except that stupid northern dog who thought he was doing "the right thing". This was the precondition to a peaceful succession. Tywin had to intervene to clean up the mess the dogs made.
As to feeding the dogs that way, that's her feminine caring side. I wouldn't

And yet from the numerous spoilers (
http://www.imdb.com/board/10944947/board/thread/262603589
) posted, it appears that Cersei's reign will last. Next season will only be about the estrangement between her and Jamie.
It is known that Dany's bleeding heart will stop her from a direct attack on KL to avoid casualties among the commoners.

It's not a bleeding heart, it's common sense. Ruling over the dead is the Night King's prerogative.
