She is a kid who is trying to make a name for herself. My gosh, some people are just ridiculous. If she just sat back and did nothing you call her a lazy liberal. If she tries to make a name for herself and voice her opinions because she is famous you call her arrogant and unimportant.
You know who is unimportant? You. The most praise you will get are some likes from Facebook or on this board. The same goes for me, and almost everybody else. Because at the moment we are just a blip, not famous, and until market have no say in a lot of things. Now who do YOU think YOU are to say she is unimportant is anything of the sort, when she has more followers than you ever will?
I don't even like Arya or the actress, but my goodness, I'm not even asking you to give her a break. Just when you want to say something about her how about it have some merit? -

So you praise her sitting back and doing nothing with her life? I don't know which is worse. If not, which is it? Because you clearly have a problem with her trying to speak her mind and make a statement. Also, good job refuting all the other points.

Where did I say that? Where did I say it isn't admirable to support the various causes that are dear to her? I said that such press can go to people's head and give them an inflated sense of their own importance, especially if they want to perpetuate a frankly over-the-top headline.

You said she was arrogant and "who does she think she is." You gave no notion of this inferring that it would happen because of the press. You claimed she was arrogant, and the link shows her stating A FACT. Since when is stating a fact arrogant? She didn't say "ha I'm better than you" she merely stated A FACT.
The fact that you got so butthurt about it is borderline pathetic. You are trying to put down a child for being famous, and saying she wants to use that fame to try and voice her opinion. Nothing is wrong with that. Get over yourself. -

Frankly, it made me cringe. It's like, her picture of the world must be so tiny, that she thinks she is actually THAT important. I know she didn't make the statement herself about changing the world, but retweeting it means she actually believes that kind of hype about herself. This is the problem with some actors who can't differentiate between the craft and the cult of celebrity.

We don't know what she's doing in her personal life though. For all we know, she donates money on a regular basis to refugees in need of it. Not to mention if she's a celebrity, that DOES mean attention is drawn to her and she can try to leverage that platform for good. She said she has a voice and will use it, not that she's shaping the world single-handedly.
Plus, like Cheruth said, retweeting that is just stating a fact anyways
