I remember the Cat story being pleasant enough. I've heard Number of the Beast is one of the worst books ever published though, not touching that one.

Did Speaker for the Dead for a book club recently, wasn't really blown away. Ender's Mary Sue-ness kind of went into overdrive. And the melodrama, my god the melodrama. It was telenovela level. Did have some fairly neat ideas in-between all that though, the Piggies are a great creation.
Heathern, Elvissy, Terraplane
Looking forward to getting to these, glad to hear they're good. I understand they're a lot less grounded than "Random Acts"

Their sugardaddy, the guy who owns the company with the smiley face, is Thatcher Dryden. His company is Dryco and features prominently in the other books.

Besides, Game of Thrones has been thoroughly accepted by the mainstream at this point.

Are messageboards not rather normal now as well? Granted, maybe most people wouldn't post even half as much but still. And IMDB is a special place.
Surely the common man wouldn't stoop as low as Proust.
