He played John Adams in "1776", both on Broadway and in the movie version of the musical. He was extremely good in it: Adams was proud, bright, irascible, and funny. Daniels also had a great team with Howard da Silva as an amazingly good Ben Franklin, and Ken Howard as Jefferson (both also repeating their roles from the Broadway production).
If you haven't seen "1776", I very highly recommend it.
Daniels was also the voice of Kitt the car in "Knight Rider", played a doctor in "St. Elsewhere", and played the principal in "Boy Meets World" (though I've never watched that show). If you've ever seen "The Graduate", he also plays Dustin Hoffman's father. So, you may have seen him around (or heard him) over the past few years. -
