I caught up. I thought things were beginning to take a turn for the better once I reached Season 5, but then my opinion immediately changed when it cut to Beth in the Atlanta hospital. One of the worst subplots I've ever seen in any TV series bar none it made me very close to quitting the show for good. But then I wanted to see how they would handle Alexandria. Then the show started reverting to a comedy again and now I'm basically hate-watching it.

I stopped during the first half of season 4. I was already frustrated with the quality of the writing and then Rick banished Carol. That was the last straw for me. I know she rejoined the group, but I couldn't bring myself to watch again.
