The reason they can do that is because there's very little competition in Big Pharma, mainly because of how heavily it's regulated and controlled by governments working with specific companies. There's zero transparency in the healthcare market also, you can't go to a doctor or hospital and ask them how much for a check up, or how much to get an X Ray, because they don't even know. Our healthcare system is completely ****ed and corrupt because businesses and the government working hand in hand for their own interests. This is the opposite of a free market.
