He goes to town on the heads of two guys. I would have expected the neck of the bat to weaken, but then I never played baseball. Or murder.

He must have had a hickory bat like Babe Ruth used to use. Or a hard maple. I didn't notice what part he was connecting with, but if it was the middle, he'd have put some deep splits into it. The next head he clobbers, it'll break. Of course, any lower down, it would have shattered on the skull.

I was joking about the middle thing. You can hit with the middle? Besides punting (bunting?) See how much I know about baseball?!
But yeah, I would think using that bat regularly to bash in skulls would start to weaken the neck. I've seen absolutely shredded drumsticks and those are just hitting drums. And obviously drumsticks are practically the same thing as a baseball bat.
