My grandfather made some money selling liquor during prohibition.
He had a hidden cellar, with a rug and a table over it.
My mother was deeply embarrassed about this, so it was never discussed But later I spoke to my cousin,
He said tricks drove up, and they loaded cases of booze into the cellar. I asked, wouldn't the cops have seen that. And he said, the cops were the guys unloading the trucks.
