@ Arya fans: what do you think of her Faceless Assassin "arc"?

Exactly!!! Imagine the amount of time we would have spent with Stannis, Cersei vs Margaery etc.
I'll say storyline because there was no arc. The storyline was utterly pathetic, devoid of any qualities apart from visually, and resulted in basically nothing. -

The unfolding of the arc has had its ups and downs, but that moment when Jaqen first offered to take her along after they made it out of Harrenhal was the most excited on-the-edge-of-my-seat I have been in the entire series.
I remember shoving my buddy into the wall and yelling "DO IT ARI DO IT!!!!"
If they would have just thrown in a couple more bada$$ faceless dude extras walking around and looking all mean and wise and deadly, it would have made a heck of a difference for me. That place being a morguey ghost town worked for an episode or two, but they needed to spice it up here n there to make it really suck us all in. -

i don't mind it. i think its a well done identity arc and i love the cat warging. i also thought that the mercy chapter was the best released twow chapter so far.
i agree with you otherwise though. the essos storylines are pretty weak. i f-cking hate mereen. -

Although Arya is my favourite character, I still must admit that her arc over the past few seasons has been quite poorly handled.
However, her actions and growth as a character have been far more entertaining and worthwhile than Sansa's, a character who hasn't learned a damn thing since S01E01. -

There has been no substantial growth in Arya as a character. Sansa on the other hand is one of the best written of the entire series. FACTUAL.
