Dumb question about "Well Schooled in Murder," which I just saw on DVD. Does the storyline imply a gay relationship betwen Brian (played by Samuel Barnett) and Chas (played by Henry Cavill)?

Admittedly it's been a while since I last saw this ep so I'm open to correction on this but I didn't get anything more than a "best friends" vibe from those two.
Best friends, especially at that point in their lives and in that kind of environment, could well have been thick as thieves without anything more going on.
There was a gay relationship talked about but that wasn't between those two.

The implication was not a relationship, but a crush. Brian was in love with Chas. Chas probably was not even aware of Brian's feelings. It was meant to parallel Lynley and John's relationship in school, most likely, with Lynley as Chas and John as Brian.
