I agree that it has gone in and out of popularity throughout history. Nearly all ancient paintings and statues depict men and women with no pubic hair, but surely in the 80s the majority of women did not even trim down there. My dad owned a video store in the mid 80s through the early 90s so he had a ton of porno movies for rent. I watched as many as I could when I was a teenager, and never saw any hairless crotches. So I know for sure that even the porn stars of the 80s and 90s were not doing it until at least the late 90s.

Yes, but Playboy, unlike Penthouse, went to great lengths not to show the labia or lips of the vagina. They concealed the vagina as much as possible, to maintain the artistic and "classy" type of nude pictorials for which the magazine is known.

I dont know what pictures you are referring to but they were obviously photoshopped. She never showed her 'bald crotch' in the film. The closest she came was the scene in the bedroom with the cam bear & she was wearing underwear even though she claimed not to be.

Sorry, but you're incorrect. She stood, fully nude (aside from stockings and high heels) in the bedroom doorway. A simple GIS for "margot robbie wolf of wall street nude" will provide you with high-resolution images of that scene. Robbie even spoke about having to take three shots before shooting the scene, and lying and telling friends and family that they used a body double in that scene, even though they really didn't. -

I'm 59 and pretty much the last girl I had that didn't shave was when I was 25 around 1980. Every girl I've known shaved extensively since then. They would sometime leave a small patch but all the vital parts were bald.

The first time I got with a girl was 91 and she was trimmed down to #1 on the clippers.
Pretty much since then, they are all clean. Only one girl I dated had full bush and even one day she stripped it clean. If he was hanging with these upper class strippers/eye candy, for sure they are waxed and smooth, even in this time period. -

Having very much enjoyed the 90's, especially the mid 90's when I came to sexual maturation, I can say with certainty that women landscaped extensively and many women with whom I had sexual encounters went sans bush altogether.

I think it depends on the girl and if she's trying to be sexually active or not. As it really only comes into play when she's expecting to have sex or wear a very provocative bikini, girls who aren't expecting to immediately do one of those things would have little need to. If she's not the hookup type, and isn't in a relationship, then it would make little sense to do that. So really, the girls who wax are going to be the ones who expect to hookup for fun, are OK with dates escalating quickly, or are in a regular relationship.
One consideration is that its pretty gross to go down on a girl with pubic hair, as its pretty much like putting your mouth in a urinal if there's pubic hair there. -

Even before the 1985 movie shaved pink, the movie Deep Throat features a prominent scene in which Linda Lovelace shaves herself bareit seems to have really caught on though among the porn industry with Shaved Pink.
