the Kimmie Belzer scene towards the ending of the film ? (starting at minute 02:12:18)
I know this is a tremendous black comedy and I, myself, laughed out loud at most of the scenes throughout the film, but when it got the scene where Jordan Belfort presents Kimmie Belzer and recollects her beginnings in the firm to the whole office, I wept! And I couldn't believe it! That scene triggered deep emotions from my personal experience and past. I believe a fair amount of people felt vulnerable at least during that scene for they personally found themselves more than once in a position where they didn't have '
    two nickels to rub together
', coming from lower middle class families, without connections, without a direction or a career, and weighed down by student loans or bank loans. Honest people will always remember that when they reach the top. I thought it was a nice moral lesson - if not the ONLY life lesson in this film.
    What do you think?

Yeh, sure did, mostly because of the solid performance of the actress made me feel her deep appreciation for what Jordan did for her.
