What other comedies do people think are brilliant and overlooked?

Considering the miniscule audience, the people on this messageboard are likely people who both possess great taste and go out of their way to seek quality writing/entertainment.
What other comedies do people think are brilliant and overlooked? Doesn't have to be current, just "available" across the internet.
For the record, I don't think any of these are in the same league as Party Down.
The Life and Times of Tim [HBO]
Kitchen Confidential (only got a 13-episode run before being canned) [Fox in 2005]
The Inbetweeners [BBC]

Arrested Development
- I don't think this one is overlooked, but it's definitely the greatest comedy ever so it's worth to mention it anytime I get the chance.
Undeclared - If you're fan of Apatow. I know I am.
Freaks and Geeks - Same as above ^^
Dead Like Me - I can't believe this show hasn't received more recognition, but it's one of the finest dark comedies.
Psych - One of my favorite Tv-Shows ever. 'Nuff said.
Also, I like Kitchen Confidential quite a bit so our taste may differ a bit. But I don't think you'll go wrong with any of these shows! -.-

First few season of Family Guy were pretty good. After it came back after the cancellation it went downhill pretty fast.
Futurama was always great.
Newsradio is the best sitcom of the 90's, though not many people were watching it so it was on the verge of cancellation every season. -

I agree NewsRadio is fantasticone of the best comedy ensembles EVER. The cast had amazing chemistry like the Party Down cast and I know a lot of them still keep in touch even though it's been 10+ years. You can tell they just really enjoyed working together. Seasons 2-4 in particular are great.

I agree with another poster: Arrested Development is my favorite comedy ever! And, it was overlooked back when it was on the air. It gained its following after it was canceled, much like Buffy (talk about a show that had comedic value that was overlooked, but I don't think it fits the criteria for this post).
Anyway, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has my vote for most overlooked nowadays, I can't believe the number of people that have know idea about this show when I bring it up.
Psych was another great choice for this post. I also love that showI love the references from the 80s and 90s in this showShawn and Gus are about my age and reference a lot of stuff that brings back memories.
I don't know how overlooked these shows are, but I think How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory are great and funny comedies.

Also if you like Appatow Help Me Help You is funny but its hard to find and there are only a few episodes. Other good shows were Better of Ted and in my opinion the best new comedy Modern Family. If you like or are willing to try British humor Coupling, Extras, Green Wing and The Inbetweeners are great.

Father Ted is one of my all time favorite shows. Did you like Black Books at all?
Someone mentioned Coupling, which was also a great show. Some people say it is like a British Friends, but I think it was much better, as I was never a huge Friends fan. Some other good British comedies are Spaced and Blackadder. There are actually quite a lot of good British comedy series, but they aren't for everyone. -

Wait, you'd put Father Ted and Only Fools And Horses in an overlooked catagory? I was going to ask the same question of The Inbetweeners. Are you guys in America? I don't mean that in an offensive way, I'm jsut wondering if they're unheard of over there, because here in Britain they're pretty massive. Or were, depending. The ones that have already ending still have massive followings though.

, which is where I first heard of Lizzy Caplan (which got me onto this awesome show). I thought that show was absolutely brilliant, and it was cancelled after only one season
Maybe just one or two more, before it would've gone stale like all comedies do, it would've been awesome.

Exactly. These are available in America but not well known or often overlooked because they are not American. I know full well that these are massive in the UK. How do you think I heard of them? From Brits.

I am an American, and I know that Father Ted and some of the other British shows I and a few others listed are big in the UK, but they are mostly unknown here. So, while they absolutely aren't underrated or unknown in the UK, they pretty much are in the States. Most Americans don't watch British television unless they actively seek it out.
