Dayum, that girl is a wild, crazy bitch.
I'm at the part where Danny's in the hospital. Mom has just been sedated and of course given a random hypodermic (I love how they just inject sedatives into non-patients without knowing any history). It's like back watching Star Trek when you'd just hear, "Nurse, give him a hypo!" That doesn't mean anything in and of itself.
Okay so now Esther is dolled up in Mom's black dressβ¦
Oh God, this is getting really creepy.
And that missed phone call. She's got her cell phone unplugged in, just laying on the table.
And yep, there's the call about her real identity. There she goes!
Oh the poor little girl, Max. Esther took her hearing device. Man, she's wicked.
Uh oh. Dad found the paintings on the wall!!

Yes,
she's 33 years old with a form of dwarfism. That part? She killed the father after trying to seduce her. She took out her dental appliances. Of course as the cops come, Esther is gone. Esther and Mom are fighting on the ice, (so that harkens back to Max almost drowning when Mom was drunk a year ago) and now Max shoots at the ice and they fight in the water, and Esther pops up as a final jump scare with, "please don't let me die mommy." BOOM-chaca-laca, kick to the head and down she goes.
^ That part?
I can't believe that girl was 12 years old when she played this role. When they wanted her to look more adult, they did a fantastic job of it, and likewise, when she's appearing like a 9 year old, while looking mature, she's totally believable!
I definitely recommend this movie.
She's so very pretty. Have you seen current photos of her? She's what, 22 now I think?
I'm so impressed with her performance here.

I was very impressed by this movie. I'd imagine if I saw the whole thing that wasn't cut up and bleeped out and blurred out and all that stuff, I'd enjoy it even more. Sometimes, a movie benefits by that stuff to convey the intensity of the moment.

Vera? I'm a fan. She was very enjoyable in Bates Motel
Her little sister acts as well. She was in another show I liked

Yes! Coven
That's where I discovered my lust for Danny Huston aka the Axe Man!
Vera
is
better. I remember when an older and younger sister acted in the same movie and the younger sister was a better actor (not my words, I liked them both)
Margaux and Mariel Hemmingway

Margaux died young. I felt sad for Mariel
Margaux's sister Mariel stated, "She was found with her legs propped up on a pillow, with a book in her lap. That does not sound like someone who committed suicide. The coroner said the same thing. Also, my sister was somewhat a drama queen. If she had committed suicide, she would have left a note, a long note naming everyone who had ever wronged her.".
Mariel went on to say that it was three weeks after Margaux's death that it was announced that she had committed suicide, and that the press most likely said this because it "made for a better story." Mariel had ironically enough played the owner of the Daily Planet (a newspaper) in Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987).
Sister Mariel Hemingway, while appearing on Larry King Live (1985) on CNN, stated publicly that Margaux did not commit suicide. She said that the original coroner reported that Margaux most likely died of an epileptic seizure. [July 2001]
