God this movie was woeful. Even by the Asylum's non-exsistant standards.
The entire thing was ridiculous. Half of the dialogue was based around, "Turn the camera off!" or "We're American! American Centre! American Embassy!
    AMERICA!
    "
The CGI was rubbish. I'm sure manys a media student could pull off a better job.
The soundtrack was horrific. The same sound effect repeated over and over. How long can one car alarm beep last?
It was the editing that really got me though. There's only about 20minutes of ACTUAL footage. The rest is just rubbishy filler footage of the camera messing up. It just made the whole thing even more disjointed and annoying. And it was pretty disjointed and annoying to begin with. I actually wanted the camera to break so I wouldn't have to endure anymore of the film.
The best bit I just have to mention though! The shot of the ambulance driving down the street in Tokyo. You can so guess they stood on that bridge for 5 days waiting for a shot like that.
Protons have a mass? I didn't even know they were Catholic.

No, no, the best scene by far was the part where they see the first jet fly byall I could think was "and they tried to pass this off as real!? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
Honestly, I was laughing so much the whole way through. Almost as funny as "100 Million BC".

HAHAHAHA! LOVE that you mentioned the bridge shot! What I liked best about that is the people in the background calmly and casually walking around with shopping bags as their city is being attacked. I can't say enough bad things about this movie.

We noticed that too, lmao, people just going about their daily business in the background. We thought the same thing about how they must have been like "SCORE!!!!!!!!" and busted the camera out so fast when they got that shot of an ambulance driving by.

Well, think of it this way - This is Japan, a country who for the last 60 years or so has been terrorized by one giant monster or another, whether it be Godzilla, Gamera, Mothra, and Hi Hi Puffy Ami Umi. They're probably more used to this than the threat of another nuclear strike.
So when you look at it that way, it's even better. 🙂

Suggest drinking game for this dud: Take a hit of your favorite hooch every time one of the sisters says that she's an American.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
