What a complete ripoff of 'Cloverfield'. I hate Asylum with a passion. I cannot stand a movie company that cannot come up with their own original ideas.
Here are some good examples of movies that Asylum has stolen. If you want to even call it stealing:
-Snakes on a Plane (Original)
-Snakes on a Train (Copy)
-Cloverfield (Original)
-Monster (Copy
-I Am Legend (Original)
-I Am Omega (Copy)
-The Omen (Original)
-666: The Child (Copy)
-AVP: Alien vs. Predator (Original)
-AVH: Alien vs. Hunter (Copy)
-King Kong (Original)
-King of the Lost World (Copy) -

You hate this company so much yet put together quite an informative post. Who gives a crap? Don't watch their movies.

Who is going to sue them? Someone who THOUGHT it was real? Do you really think "reality" shows are real?
This was produced with information that was received via the viral marketing that surrounded Cloverfield.
I've seen Cloverfield-loved it.
I own Monster, but haven't broken it out yet.

As a designer and artist, I have no problem with a person or company using another's idea as a springboard for their own work or project. Today, even ideas that seem the most original and fresh have their conceptual roots in something that's previously been created. My issue is with the ABYSMALLY awful production. Asylum seems to place no value whatsoever in the craftsmanship or art of film at any level.
