Compared to this piece of trash, 'Cloverfield' - a decidedly mediocre movie - looks almost as good as its fanboys claim it is.

Cloverfield is as good as the fanboys claim it isbut anyway this movie was sooooo unbelievably bad it will make u cry. You will watch it and scream "WHY!!!! WHY CANT ASYLUM MAKE A BETTER MOVIE THAN THIS!!!!?!? WHY CANT THEY JUST MAKE AN ORIGINAL MONSTER MOVIE INSTEAD OF A CLOVERFIELD RIPOFF!?!?!? OH MY GOD SOMEONE KILL ME!!!!" That will be what you say after watching this.
I'm a silent watcher. I float above you all and quietly watch you rag on all the noobs

Unlike many, I like Cloverfield a lot. This one just stinks. It's awful. It's just THAT bad.
Cloverfield had some breathtaking shots, two monsters that were scary, and acting that was passable. This had wild shaking, two space cadets saving the world from global warming running around saying "I'm an American" every 30 seconds, and constant "damaged film" special effects which seemed mostly designed to avoid having to face up to the total lack of anything interesting in the movie.
                Don't waste your time.
