Hello danny boy. Long time no post. 🙂
    How's life treating ya?
I'll check out the Graham Norton clip. Not really a fan of Diane Kruger but John Bishop can make me giggle sometimes.

Awwww, you guys make me feel some sort of way with these comments
Having been brought up in the US, I have never really had a problem understanding British accents no matter the form. Then again, I grew up watching British programmes and films (Thank you PBS). So, I had an ear for the accent pretty early on and actually developed a similar sense of humour because of watching said films and programmes.
I love language, accentreally anything involving words, so that too may be a big part as to reason I have never had an issue.

I'm Canadian and don't find the accents difficult, it's the British colloquialisms that I sometimes don't understand, i.e. barney = fight or suss out = figure out. I watch with closed captioning turned on, which does help. 😄

Im constantly rewinding to re-hear what was just said. I know its a London based show, but can they try to soften the accents for us in "the colonies"?
                son_of_tony
, you're giving Americans a bad name! (Yes, I read further down that you claim to be Canadian but using "the colonies" makes everyone assume that this is an American complaint.) Many of us delight in being exposed to the varied accents, even if means sometimes having to rewind or use the subtitles. Please open your mind a little; the world does not begin and end with the US and life without variety is deadly dull.
Along those lines: Do you advocate for Hollywood to "soften" regional US accents for the rest of the world?
