Why does everyone hate the ending? I think it's exciting and awesome.

— 9 years ago(September 10, 2016 04:51 PM)I liked it too, halfway through the film I said to my husband that I had no idea how it was going to pan out.I'm usually trying to guess what's happening but with this one I really didn't know so it was a complete surprise and I liked it.
Although there's been rain and it's coming again
Change has to be here obviously -

It was always going to be Aliens. It is a sequel to Cloverfield(2008) afterall.. as far as storytelling goes, the Cloverfield series has done it with a giant puzzle. There are some who don't like it, but it is different. What was most interesting to me with this movie, is how they were able to tie in an entirely different, yet intriguing story about 3 survivors caught in the middle of it all.

Because it ruined all the amazing tension and acting in the first 4/5 of the movie. John Goodman's character and interaction was brilliant. And it kept you wondering the ENTIRE time, "Is he just making this up!?" you had zero clue what to believe.
Then the ending was some giant transformer like alien attacking her. BLEH. Not to mention she makes a molotov cocktail out of LIQUOR!? Ummm, they don't work like that usually they are filled with gasoline or a napalm like substance (in World Wars). The whole idea that took down a ship was just stupid
The movie should've had her escape, drive away thinking nothing was wrong and Howard was a nut. The radio should've been turned on, but static she'd shrug it off like it was nothing (reception, busted radio) the final shot would then be a lightning strike showing several alien ships a ways off in the distance. Close movie. Not some stupid girl power fight. -

So you didn't notice in the bunker that the alien substance/gas was INSANELY flammable? It didn't actually NEED an explosion, it just needed some fire to light all of it up.
The big alien ships are basically Hindenburgs. -

totally agree! Late to the party but I hadn't seen it or heard how it ended, and it was excellent, kept me on the edge of my seat guessing the whole time wondering if it's true or not, really enjoyed it.

When you look at it as a movie about domestic abuse and standing up and fighting instead of running, it was perfect.
I think you're the opposite of paranoid, I think you walk around with the delusion people like you.
