It would be more appealing than Trump/Pence to most Americans and that ticket already won once before and came close last time. Their weakness was with women voters which Haley would attract. It's not just that she's a woman but she has expressed more moderate views on abortion rights than most Republicans, bringer her closer to the views held by most women voters. The fact that Trump can only serve one term might be enough for these women voters who dislike him to bite the bullet and vote for him just to get Nikki Haley in there and primed to be president next. There are a lot of women who really want to see a female president and other than Nikki Haley no one else really has a shot.

It should have been, and that's why she dropped out of the race. She knew she couldn't win. Then Bird Brain picked her as his VP. After the coming election she will disappear, never to be heard from again.
